Like most Americans, I have a deep appreciation for our history as a nation of immigrants. Until recently, people who came to America immigrated legally and became citizens. But now, illegal aliens are flooding into our country in violation of our laws and our rights as citizens.
North Carolina has become a “Mecca” for illegal aliens, according to The Greensboro News Record, and there are an estimated 400,000 illegal aliens living in our state. What's most alarming to me is that these illegal aliens, unlike their predecessors who came to this country with the desire to become law-abiding citizens, have no intention of becoming citizens or even of learning our language. Throughout our storied past, immigrants from all over the world came to America to share in our freedom. It appears that this current influx of illegal aliens want to share something else--our money. They break our laws, drive on our roads--often recklessly with disastrous results--take advantage of our health care and public education and even register to vote. When law breaking non-citizens who came to this country illegally can vote in our elections and take our tax dollars, the time has come for us to band together, much like we did with the gas tax, and say “NO MORE”. That time is NOW. Join us. We need to come together and stand up for our laws and our rights as law-abiding citizens. Together, we can send a message to the politicians that we want them to stand up FOR us and AGAINST illegal aliens. Please sign our petition today.
